On February 22, the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, signed an ordinance that establishes the end of the quarantine for those who come from a non-EU country.

This news was partly announced by the statements of the Italian government in recent days, and brings with it so much joy and optimism for the entire tourism sector and for those who are eager to be able to travel to Italy again!

From March 1, 2022, therefore, no more quarantine for citizens who land in our country and who come from a state outside European borders.

To enter the national territory, it will be necessary to comply with the conditions currently established in European countries through the use of the GREEN PASS, that is, to be in possession of the vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or negative test.

In the Italian territory, the use of the Green Pass will remain valid until March 31, 2022 to access various services, including bars, restaurants, hotels, means of transport throughout the country, events, ceremonies, museums and more.

As stated at the press conference on February 18 by the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, in the coming weeks all restrictions will be abolished to favor international tourism and the abolition of the quarantine confirmed yesterday is only the first step towards the definitive return back to normal!

So it’s official: Italy reopens and is ready to welcome you with open arms!
