Itineraries

Day 1

ROME – CAVES OF PIETRASECCA – ISOLA GRAN SASSO - MOSCIANO

Departure from the hotel in Rome. Visit of the cave of Pietrasecca. Visit of Isola del Gran Sasso d’Italia, the highest Italian medieval village, in the Abruzzo Apennines. Accommodation in a luxury farm holiday (Pecora Nera Country House**** or similar) in the area between mountains and sea.

Day 2

MOSCIANO – SAN ROCCO - MOSCIANO

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of a producer of olive oil in a farm holiday with animals to taste the different kinds of oil. Waliking in the old town of Mosciano; return to the resort. In the evening, transfer to a typical restaurant in the countryside to have a “Wine and food experience” with the chef.

Day 3

MOSCIANO – FRANCAVILLA – COAST OF THE TRABOCCHI –ANVERSA – GIOIA DEI MARSI

Breakfast at the hotel,. Walking along the sea of Francavilla al Mare. Lunch in a trabocco, antique fishing tool changed into luxury restaurant. Visit of Anversa degli Abruzzi, main village of the National Park of Abruzzo. Accommodation in a hotel in the hearth of the National Park (Hotel Filippone**** or similar).

Day 4

GIOIA – PESCASSEROLI – OPI – GIOIA

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of Pescasseroli and way up on the cable way to the Monte Vitelle; Visita of Opi, one of the most beautiful Italian villages and the Museum of the chamois. If the weather conditions are nice between May and September. we can organize early in the morning an excursion to admire wild animals such as wolves, bears, chamoises and deers. Return to Gioia.

Day 5

GIOIA – LAKE SCANNO - CARSOLI - ROMA

Breakfast at the hotel Visit of the charming Lake Scanno with its main village (between May and September you can rent a little boat to travelm around it). Return to Rome through the old Via Tiburtina (an antique Roman road between Pescara and Rome) with stop in Carsoli.

RATES INCLUDE:

  • 2 overnights with breakfast in a luxury farm holiday near Mosciano;

  • 2 overnights with breakfast in a 4 star hotel in the core of National Park of Abruzzo;

  • Admission ticket at the Caves of Pietrasecca (simple itinerary);

  • Visit of a farm holiday with animals to taste the different kinds of oil;

  • Dinner experience in a resort with prodcuts of the territory and local wines;

  • Lunch experience: food and wines tasting in a trabocco on the Adriatic Sea;

  • Return ticket on the cable way to the Monte Vitelle from Pescasseroli;

  • Visit of the Museum of the chamois in Opi;

  • Itinerary as above

  • Bus/ Van at disposal for the mentioned itinerary
