Itineraries

DAY 1

CAGLIARI – VILLAMASSARGIA – ORTU MANNU

Passengers arrive at their own at the port or airport of Cagliari. Meet our driver/guide speaking English and private vehicle. Transfer to Villamassargia and check in luxury farm holidays. Welcome aperitive in S’Ortu Mannu. Walk through this natural oasis with more than 800 olive tress. We end with hugs to the thousand year’s old trees. Workshop in order to learn how to make cheese. Dinner at the farm with cheese and typical products. Overnight.

DAY 2

VILLAMASSARGIA – IGLESIAS – CANTINA ARU - VILLAMASSARGIA

Breakfast. Transfer to the market of Iglesias for shopping. It was projected in 1934 by the architect Ettore Sottsass. On the tables of this market you will find seafood, meat, biscuits and local food. Visit of the wine cellar Cantina Aru, in the Valley of Cixerri: it is and important producer of wines such as Vermentino, Carignano and Cannonau. Of course, the tour ends with a tasting and a visit of the Etnocgrafic Museum of the local traditions. Wines will be served with local food. Return to the farm and cooking class that finishes with a dinner with the dishes just made. Overnight.

DAY 3

VILLAMASSARGIA – NEBIDA – PORTO FLAVIA – BUGGERRU - CAGLIARI

Breakfast. An amazing daily excursion through the area of the mines. Stop at the belvedere of Nebida with view to the Laveria La Marmora, a huge building that dates back end of 19th century. The coast of Masua is a compulsory stop for people visiting Sardinia: a perfect mix between amazing coast and mines including tunnels, wells of extractions, wash areas, piers and the old building of the miners. Visit of Porto Flavia, a masterpiece of the industrial engineering, part of the geomining park, choosen by UNESCO as world heritage. Here, you may have the best view of the Sea Stack of the Pan di Zucchero, the highest of the Mediterranean. Short stop to take photos at Cala Domestica and visit of the mine village of Buggerru, defined as the little Pares. Lunch at your own. In the afternoon, visit of Antas. This temple is situated in a place of unique beauty and spirituality, sorrounded by woods of oaks and wild mountains. Arrival to Cagliari, check in and overnight

DAY 4

CAGLIARI -BARUMINI – CAGLIARI

Breakfast. Full dat to discover the town of Cagliati, the capital and the most important city of the island. Lunch at your own. In the afternoon, visit of Barumini and its nuraghe, an amazing work by the local population who colonized the island before the Romans and UNESCO World Heritage. Visit of an oil producer with tasting of local olive oil. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

DAY 5

CAGLIARI – AIRPORT OR PORT

Breakfast. At the desired time, transfer to the port of airport of Cagliari and end of services.
